2 Ladies Dead, 2 Men Hurt in Geneva Tow Truck Crash, Police Say

In a multi-vehicle collision involving a tow truck on Saturday morning in the west of Geneva, two women were murdered, and two men were injured. According to Geneva police, the collision occurred in the morning at the Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway intersection.

According to an initial investigation, a Dodge Charger driven by a 25-year-old Rockford woman struck a Hyundai Santa Fe on Kirk Road after she blew a red light. The Dodge struck the tow truck attempting to turn left from Kirk Road into Fabyan Parkway due to the collision.

The driver and the passenger, a Rockford woman, were declared dead at the scene. The Hyundai’s 50-year-old driver from North Aurora was critically injured and evacuated to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

The Delnor Hospital in Geneva treated and then released the 31-year-old Batavia tow truck driver. According to authorities, no one has been charged, and the crash is still being investigated.
