The Salisbury Police Department is looking into a shooting that happened late on Saturday night on the Livingstone College campus.
Responding police officers discovered two victims had been shot around 11 p.m. While running for safety, other people also sustained injuries, however, the number of victims was not immediately disclosed by the authorities.
In a statement issued early on Sunday morning, the Salisbury Police Department claimed there was “no active threat to the college or the community at this time.”
“I’m heartbroken that our students, alumni, their families, and friends had to watch this senseless act of gun violence after a week of homecoming celebrations went by without incident.
