Freshmen year is the start of a new beginning, a clean slate. It’s the year where you can a have a fresh new start in a new school. It can be scary for some, but for others it may mean something different. One thing is for sure freshmen year is the year where you start from the bottom and scale your way up. The year where you learn the new hallways and classes that will follow you throughout four years of your life. Here are some opinions of current freshmen here from McDonald county and their first few weeks here and how things have changed for them since they became new high schoolers.
“I’ve made a lot of friends this year. I was very nervous that things might of not have gone well this year but they did. I’m happy that I’m still very close to my old friends as well as the new ones!” says Daniela Serrano.
Moises Mendez stated,”I’ve made some friends. I was a little nervous at the beginning of the first day but calmed down towards the end of the day.”
Mackenzie Keller said, “Well, I’ve made quite a few friends but luckily still kept the old ones.”
