A Legit Team in the Northeast

By Matthew Crowder

The New England Patriots are a team that dominate the league every year in the  AFC East and are almost always in the playoffs. They are led by MVP and future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. The Patriots started 4 games without Brady winning 3 and losing 1 because Brady was finally suspended for the Deflategate scandal  that happened on January 18, 2015 against the Indianapolis Colts in the playoffs.

Led By Jimmy Garoppolo for two games before he got injured and was replaced for the two other games by rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Brissett won the first game against Houston in week 3, but in week 4, they played the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots got shutout at home 16-0; the first time the Patriots got shutout at home since the 1993 season which is a record for most wins at home.

Tom Brady is so far has lost one game this year as their quarterback after returning in week 5. Despite all the defensive players they lost to free agency, they have so far put up good stats every week to win football games. With the help of running back Legarrette Blount, speedy receiver; Julian Edelman; and probably the greatest tight end by far, Rob Gronkowski. Tom Brady uses those weapons along with his proficient passing skills to win games. He usually throws 1 interception a game, but doesn’t get sacked often with credit due to their offensive line.

The Patriots still have a tough schedule coming up for them, but I predict they will finish the year with a 14-2 record being the first seed team in the playoffs on the AFC side of the division. The Patriots might be able to make it to the Super Bowl, but they will have to give 100% of their all if they want to take a trip to NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
