It could be the final season in Dallas for Tony Romo. It is a situation that has happened many times in the history of the NFL, and it looks as if it will happen again. Romo’s season ended early this year as a suffered a back injury during the preseason, and after his injury rookie quarterback Dak Prescott stepped in and started the season for the Cowboys.
Prescott absolutely destroyed the first eight weeks of the regular season as he set the record for most pass completions without an interception. He set the rookie record for the same achievement. Prescott has now lead the Cowboys to a 10-1 record and the top spot in the NFL.
Tony Romo is definitely done in Dallas because he held a press conference telling the world how he believes that Dak Prescott has “earned the right to be our quarterback” and how he is going to let Dak continue to start even though he is over his injury.
It is sad to see Tony Romo give up the starting job because he has been the only steady piece in the Dallas game plan for the last 8-10 years. Romo is the man that deserves to be leading a successful team as he is the one that built the team and stayed with them despite the lack of major success. However, it was a great thing to do; he gave up his job to see the team continue success and possibly get to the Super Bowl. It will be a sad day when Tony Romo leaves Dallas.
