Book Review: Drink, Slay, Love

By Bailey Sherrell

Drink, Slay, Love is a book by Sarah Beth Durst about a sixteen year old vampire. Fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and mostly evil.

Until a unicorn stabs her through the heart. Her and her family are surprised when she can now walk in the sun and they find a way to use her new talent. She must go to high school and lure humans to their demise at the king’s feast.

However, there’s a problem. She is starting to feel for these humans. She doesn’t want to serve her new friends to vampires, but she will definitely die if she lets down her family. What’s there to do?

This book is really great. You get to see into the life of a young vampire and see what she will do when the time comes to bring humans to their demise. It takes a look into how she feels as a sun-loving vampire. And you’ll find out about this vampire stabbing unicorn. Have fun reading.
