NHS Hosts Spirit Week

It’s time for Christmas spirit week at MCHS. Every year National Honor Society hosts a spirit week on the last full week of the first semester in hopes to motivate students for finals.

Prepare yourselves for a week full of Christmas spirit and fun!

Monday 12/11

  • Wear your favorite hat! – ‘Ma in her kerchief and I in my cap’  
  • After school activities: Board games, Break-out box, trivia, and popcorn in the library

Tuesday 12/12 

  • Pajama/Snuggie Day! –  (Think Ralphie in A Christmas Story)
  • After school activity: Cocoa Bar and  Polar Express in the library after school

Wednesday 12/13

  • Ugly Sweater Day!
  • Contest: We will be awarding the ‘Cheermeister’ award to the ugliest of sweaters!
  • After school activityHoliday crafts in the library after school


Thursday 12/14

  • Holiday Character Day! – Capture the ‘Spirit’ of your favorite Holiday Character (Think: Buddy the Elf, The Grinch, Uncle Eddie, The Holiday Armadillo)
  • After school activity: decorating cookies + The Elf movie in the library

Friday 12/15

  • Mustang Spirit Day! – Dress in your favorite Mustang Gear

∗All after-school activities will be in the library and will be from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM. Everything is FREE!

Candy Cane Grams:

NHS will be selling Candy Cane Grams during lunch from Thursday, December 7th – Wednesday, December 13th.

  • Candy Canes with pre-made messages are $1
  • Personalized Candy Canes are $2

∗ Candy Cane Grams will be delivered during Seminar on Wednesday, December 13th!
