Drama 3 Play: Beauty And The Beast

By Michael Mann

If you opened one of the school’s Chromebook recently, you may have seen a red wallpaper saying “Beauty And The Beast April 13th, 14th, & 15.”

Don’t worry, it isn’t the virus that you downloaded doing that, it’s just to advertise this semester’s Drama 3 play:  Beauty and the Beast. It is based on Disney’s adaptation of the story (you know the one with the singing, dancing, and the talking dishes…yeah that one), and it will, for the most part, have the same main characters seen in the movie as well as adding another character (more on that in the interview) just so the story can fit in the play format better.

As for whether or not they’ll dress up in these costumes or not, is still a surprise for me, we’ll just have to wait and see if there are a few humanoid cups running around in the PAC.

I went and interviewed Mrs. Wooten (the drama teacher) to get more insight on the play.

The cast is as followed, but note (like Mrs. Wooten said in the video) there is one main cast, but a couple of roles are alternating for each day and are split between Rose and Book casts. Other than those roles, the cast remains the same.
