25-Year-old Anton Walkes Dies in Boat Crash: Anton Walkes, a former defender for Tottenham and Portsmouth, passed away at 25. The team Walkes played for in Major League Soccer in 2022, Charlotte FC, announced his passing on Thursday in south Florida.
According to The Miami Herald, Walkes was unconscious on Wednesday after two vessels crashed close to Miami Marine Stadium. He was given CPR and transferred to the hospital, but he eventually passed away. According to the Charlotte Observer, Wilkes was in Florida for a pre-season training session with Charlotte FC.

Walkes, a London native, advanced through the Spurs academy before making his debut and only appearance for the team in a Carabao Cup match against Gillingham in 2016. He then spent two years at Portsmouth.
