4 People Manage to Survive the Osun Car Accident

According to the Osun-based Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), four people narrowly avoided death in an accident on the Akure-Ilesa route. This was stated by the Osun Sector Commander, Mr. Henry Benamaisai, in a statement made on Monday in Osogbo by the command’s spokeswoman, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi.

The accident, according to Benamaisai, happened on Sunday at around 6:10 p.m. in the Igbalajewa area, roughly 10 km from the FRSC base in the Ipetu-Ijesa area of Osun.

He said that owing to irresponsible driving, a white commercial Howo truck with the license plate AKD 123 XV collided head-on with another white commercial Howo tanker with the license plate T 1239 LA.

“The accident happened due to overloading, speeding, and disregarding traffic laws. Four people hurt in the accident’s aftermath were also brought for medical attention to Wesley Hospital and Lawrence Medical Center in Erin-Ijesa.

Out of the five passengers, only one escaped injury, while the other four sustained injuries. With one Unity Bank ATM card, “the command also collected the value of N27, 200 from the accident scene,” Benamaisai stated.

He claims that if a road user is caught breaking the law, the command will not spare them. Benamaisai cautioned drivers about the risks of reckless driving and disregarding traffic laws to protect people and property.
