The release states that a witness who was travelling southbound on I-69 claimed he had passed the semi and was following the passenger car when three deer raced onto the road, forcing the car to crash and spin in the road.

The semi-truck driver claimed he saw the automobile in the middle of the road, sitting sideways, without any lights, and that he did not have time to stop before hitting it. The identification of the crash victim is pending notification of the deceased’s next of kin.
