A deadly collision happened early on Thursday morning at the intersection of Amwell and Marshall roads, about a mile west of Hillsborough High School. Township police and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office are looking into the incident.
According to Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald, the crash at around 6:37 a.m. claimed the life of one person. The victim’s identity was kept a secret.
Because of the collision, Amwell Road between Beekman Lane and Auten Road was closed during the morning rush hour, resulting in traffic congestion on side roads. Township police and the Somerset County Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team are conducting the inquiry.
