For the next four years, Zahara Jolie-Pitt has found a place to call home. Angelina Jolie, 47, revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday that her daughter, 17, will enrol at Spelman College in the autumn. The Eternals actress posted a picture of her daughter with other Spelman students, “Zahara with her Spelman sisters.”
She said, “Congratulations to all new students starting this year,” referring to the Atlanta-based historically Black women’s college. A family member joining Spelman as a new girl is an honour and a very unique place. Jolie also used a number of hashtags, such as “#Spelman College,” “#Spelman Sisters,” and “#HBCU,” in her post. Zahara and Jolie, who along with Pitt, 58, also has twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, as well as Shiloh, 16, Pax, 18, and Maddox, 20, are also passionate about social justice.

When the mother and daughter travelled to Washington, D.C. in December 2021 to meet with advocates and legislators in support of the Violence Against Women Act, they both made a difference. In an Instagram caption at the time, Jolie stated that she was “honoured to visit Washington, DC, with Zahara, working with advocates and lawmakers to modernise and strengthen the #ViolenceAgainstWomenAct to include protections for children’s health and safety, communities of colour, tribes, LGBTQ survivors, rural areas, and all survivors.”
The judge continued, “We need reforms like judicial training, trauma-informed court procedures that reduce the risk of injury to children, grant programmes for technology to detect bruises across all skin tones and develop non-biased forensic evidence collecting, and protections for the most vulnerable. Jolie told PEOPLE in October 2021 that her kids are “really terrific people.” “And because there are so many of them, I believe they have a profound impact on one another. It’s not like I run anything, you know. I’m frank with my children. And when it comes to my kids, I’m really human,” she said.
When raising them, Jolie stated that her focus is to “be there to support and grow all the different elements of who they are” because she is “interested about all the different aspects of who they are.” “My home is home to six very different people. I am very intrigued by all the various phases, emotions, and curiosities that they experience. How could you not be? At the moment, Jolie stated. “We’re meant to assist them in discovering who they are. And if you don’t create a strong relationship with them, you won’t be able to understand who they are.
