Babylon Streaming Release Date: Showtimes Status: Through the eyes of Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle, Babylon transports viewers to the early years of Hollywood. Although it is Chazelle’s most ambitious project yet, as we remarked in our Babylon review, that ambition leads to a three-hour film that will be “one viewer’s favorite movie of the year and another’s disastrous nemesis.”

Maverick, which will be available on the streaming service on December 22—nearly seven months after its theatrical release—Paramount Pictures, the company that distributes Babylon, released their 2022 slate on Paramount+ following each film’s customary 45-day theatrical window.

Babylon might arrive at Paramount+ as early as February 7 if Top Gun is an anomaly, given its fantastic box office success. If there are any official announcements on streaming, we’ll be sure to update this page.

Damien Chazelle, who previously won the Best Director Oscar for La La Land, has directed four full-length movies, including Babylon. Here is Babylon’s official plot summary provided by Paramount:
The ensemble cast of the original epic Babylon, which is based in 1920s Los Angeles and stars Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Diego Calva, also features Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, and Jean Smart.

It charts the ascent and collapse of several people during a time of unrestrained decadence and depravity in early Hollywood. It is a story of considerable ambition and outrageous excess.
