Breaking News Accident On 95 Today: Around one in the morning on Friday, officers from the State Police, Providence Police, Providence Fire and Rescue, Amtrack Police, Department of Environmental Management, and Department of Transportation responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 North in Providence, north of the Route 10 overpass.

According to the State Police, a car stuck in the high-speed lane was struck by a tractor-trailer truck, forcing it to turn over and obstruct the two right lanes of traffic. The tractor driver of the trailer was thrown from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries.
