The marital difficulties of well-known 90 Day Fiancé couple Asuelu Pulaa and Kalani Faagata appear to be over after Asuelu announced his single status on Instagram. Initially meeting by coincidence, Kalani and Asuelu’s relationship immediately became serious after Kalani fell pregnant with the couple’s first child. In order to marry Kalani, Asuelu relocated to the United States, where they later had a second child but were still unable to reconcile.
He ended up blocking Asuelu on social media after a fight between Kalani and him that was caught on tape during a March episode of 90 Day Diaries. At that point, brand-new rumors of Kalani and Asuelu’s divorce began to circulate. While Kalani and Asuelu visited Hawaii with their family in March, their Instagram activity was unmistakably an indication of their breakup.
To make matters worse, when questioned in May if she and Asuelu were still married, Kalani responded, “I’ll explain at the end of the month.” More breakup rumors were sparked when Kalani’s sister Kolini Faagata, who was never Asuelu’s greatest supporter, shared a picture of a bag marked “sack of and tagged Kalani with the caption, “just ran into your ex in the store.”

On June 10, Asuelu finally made the decision to put the rumors to rest by posting a throwback video of him dancing with Kalani and noting that Kalani has changed since then. Asuelu, the star of 90 Day Fiancé, made an effort to explain to his Instagram followers what transpired between him and Kalani while also reassuring them that his life was in order and that he was still bound by his contract. He did make it sound like he was optimistic about working with Kalani.
However, Asuelu claimed in his most recent Instagram video that he is “single,” which has left TLC fans even more perplexed. Asuelu, who has dramatically lost weight over the past year, debuted a new bearded appearance in the video. When people find out I’m single, he said on a video of himself emptying the trash, adding the shifty eyes and smiling emojis.
Asuelu’s enigmatic message began, “Sometimes your dreams never come true,” and then he added the hashtag, “#mybooholeishurts,” making reference to his iconic 90 Day Fiancé encounter with Kalani. Wait, are you single? a few of the admirers inquired, evidently perplexed by what Asuelu was attempting to express.
Others assumed Kalani and Asuelu were co-parenting because Asuelu had claimed in a prior post that they were still together even though they weren’t communicating at the time. A disgruntled fan believed that Asuelu disrespected Kalani by making fun of their separation in the humorous video. Many 90-Day Fiancé watchers, however, are now dubious of Asuelu and Kalani’s breakup and believe the couple fabricated these messages to generate attention.
Fans of the 90 Day Fiancé hoped that Kalani and Asuelu’s continuous mind games and mysterious posts were nothing more than clickbait. Asuelu’s contradictory statements are what make the situation seem even more improbable. It’s possible Kalani and Asuelu want to keep their fans interested in the divorce drama as they are slated to return to 90 Day Fiancé:
