Donald Glover to Star in Spider Man Movie

Donald Glover to Star in Spider Man Movie: Finally, Donald Glover will appear in a Spider-Man film. Said it’s not what you think it is. The Hollywood Reporter has learned from sources that Glover has signed on to appear in and produce a film based on the Spider-Man world of Marvel Comics characters produced by Sony Pictures.

The project, which currently has no title but is rumored to center on one of the less well-known Spider-Man villains, the Hypno-Hustler, has Myles Murphy, the son of actor and comedian Eddie Murphy, on board to pen the script.

When Hypno-Hustler first appeared in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man No. 24, in 1978, he was a product of the disco music era. He was developed by Bill Mantlo, the writer who also invented Rocket Racoon, and artist Frank Springer. His real name was Antoine Delson, the frontman of a Mercy Killers band. To rob his audience, he used hypnosis technology in his instruments.

Must Check:

Although Hypno-Hustler is not regarded as one of Spider-top Man’s villains and frequently appears on lists of the worst supervillains, sources claim that Glover was drawn to the character because of his musical qualities and because he has less Marvel canon baggage than other villains, which allows for more creative interpretations.

The project might be anything from a retro-styled hip-hop play set in the disco era to a cyberpunk play set in the future. Murphy’s take, whose specifics are withheld below the bass clef, contributed to the spark. Fans have been calling for Glover to play Spider-Man for years, especially in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield was cast as Peter Parker. Thus, it didn’t happen, but Glover provided the voice of Spider-Man/Miles Morales in the Disney XD Ultimate Spider-Man in 2015. Additionally, he made a very brief appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming, starring Tom Holland. He was mentioned in a movie deleted scene as Miles Morales’ uncle.

Sony, the company that owns the film rights to Spider-Man and associated characters, has a full schedule of movies based on the heroes and the villains who make up the Spider-Man family. The company, which has produced films including Venom and Morbius, has Kraven the Hunter scheduled for release on October 6, 2023. Madame Web and Spider-Woman are two hero ideas currently in development.
