Florida Deputies Shoot Armed And Dangerous Suspect In Mount Dora

FLORIDA’S LAKE COUNTY – According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and Mount Dora Police Department, officers who were searching for an 18-year-old guy in Seminole and Volusia Counties found him in Lake County and shot him.

Volusia County deputies announced earlier on Monday that they were searching for the driver of a white truck that may have been involved in a “strange event” in Deltona. The motorist was deemed to be “armed and dangerous,” according to the authorities, who provided no other details about the event.
The truck was found by Lake County deputies at 4:45 on Monday, according to a spokesperson for Mount Dora police, and it then led deputies on a brief chase that concluded in Mount Dora. According to an official, the car struck a synagogue close to Donnelly and 9th before opening fire on responding officers.

 

In the shooting, no deputies or police officers were injured. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will look into the shooting because it involves law enforcement. The Deltona incident’s few information have not yet been made public. An official speculated that it might be connected to a case of domestic abuse but sent any questions to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. The VCSO stated in a tweet that the facts surrounding that case were “still under investigation.”
