Four Died in a 50-car Pileup on Ohio Turnpike: According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 50-vehicle collision along the Ohio Turnpike resulted in at least four fatalities and several injuries. Early on Friday afternoon, a multi-vehicle accident along the turnpike occurred in Sandusky County.
According to the troopers, emergency personnel was called to many crashes on the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike between state routes 53 and 4. Both traffic directions are redirected; eastbound traffic is leaving at exit 91, and westbound traffic is going at exit 118.
According to the PIO for the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, buses transport those stuck on the turnpike to the Castalia Maintenance Building. First responders are seen in the video that 13abc captured pulling folks out of their cars.

According to a representative for OSHP, the first of several collisions happened close to State Route 2 at about 11:45 a.m. In a crash involving five vehicles, two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to troopers. When other cars collided shortly after, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a massive pileup resulted.
An OSHP official informed 13abc that “this will be ongoing for a while.” Many troopers and first responders are on the scene resolving this.

According to Toledo Fire and Rescue authorities, teams asked for their help with extrication resources. Due to the wind, according to the troopers, visibility on the turnpike is an issue. The incident occurred during a level 3 snow emergency in Sandusky County late Friday afternoon.
