Georgetown Man Suspected of Killing Wife Arrested

Georgetown Man Suspected of Killing Wife Arrested: On Tuesday morning in Georgetown, a guy accused of shooting and killing his estranged wife is currently in police custody. Tuesday, shortly after noon, police in Columbus, Texas, arrested Ricardo Quinones, 38.

Around three in the morning on Tuesday, Georgetown Police Department officers responded to a report of family violence in the 2700 block of Gabriel View Dr.

According to Georgetown PD Assistant Police Chief Roland Waits, the call came from a teenage girl who said her father entered the home she and her mother were in brandishing a weapon and took them hostage.

Police said that while attempting to speak with Quinones, he shot and killed the girl’s mother, who they identified as Lindsey Quinones, who was also his estranged wife. The girl managed to get away through a window and into the custody of the police.

Waits claim that Quinones ran away from the scene. An on-duty policeman claimed that Quinones was shot as he left the house. It’s not known if he was shot or hurt.

Around 6:30 a.m., a shelter-in-place order was issued for surrounding neighbors; it was removed just before 8:30 a.m. Police described the incident as a terrible family violence case and said they were still looking into it.
