How Keegan Bradley Lost 30 Pounds in 5 Months: Last August, as the PGA Tour season came to an end, Keegan Bradley discovered he was missing his younger self. He, therefore, concluded that he had to figure out how to make a piece of himself vanish.

The 36-year-old said on Thursday at the Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course, where he opened the Sentry Tournament of Champions with a three-under 70 that included birdies on two of his final three holes, “I wasn’t feeling that terrific in general, but I felt like I was kind of fatiguing.”

The former PGA champion had long subscribed to the same fitness program, which included strength training, as the majority of his contemporaries. The 190-pound, 6-foot-3 native of Vermont entered the professional ranks in 2008 after graduating from St. John’s University. He had gained 220 pounds of muscle over the years.
Bradley spoke with one of his Florida neighbors, Dr. Joshua Levitt, who along with his wife Amanda started a nutritional company called UpWellness, to find out what he could change to enhance his general health. Bradley, whose change has been so amazing that some fellow players have asked whether he could be unwell, said: “If it walks, swims, or flies, you can eat it, and I did a lot of fruit as well.” I would therefore eat eggs in the morning, possibly some chicken or ground beef for lunch, and steak for dinner. The secret is using only grass-fed meat. nothing green. Also absent were any toppings, sides, grains, or even ketchup. All I did was season it with salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
In addition, he stopped drinking soda and Gatorade. He also started a cardio exercise routine that included mild weightlifting and stationary cycling as well as elliptical training. Bradley admitted that changing his diet was mentally difficult, but he was determined to see where it would lead and what impact it would have on his performance.

Bradley shot four excellent rounds at Accordia Golf Narshino Country Club, including a closing two-under 68, and overcame Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam by a stroke to win his fifth PGA Tour title but first since 2018. Bradley opened the fall season with a T-5 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Bradley remarked, “I felt so fantastic at Zozo, heading down the stretch, and that whole week. “Even at CJ Cup, the following week with no sleep and jet lag, I managed a good week [T-21]. And I simply felt like I have in previous years.
Bradley stated he strongly believes he is in the best position in years to thrive and achieve his ambitions. Bradley is now second in the FedEx Cup rankings when the tour calendar continues at Kapalua Resort. He has significantly scaled back on his carnivore diet, but only because he doesn’t want to lose any more weight. He would dearly love to gain a few more pounds so he could hold more cups and trophies.
He listed his objectives for the year and stated, “I want to make the Ryder Cup team.” “Since I’m in second place in the FedEx Cup, I want to remain there. I rose to number 25 in the world, and I want to advance. And I wish to participate in more competitions. I believe that becoming in better physical shape and feeling better can only help.
