i-64 Traffic Accident Today Virginia 3 People Dead: Early on Friday morning, emergency workers were rushed to the site of a tragic collision between a bus and a tractor-trailer on I-64 in York. The incident was reported at about 1:40 a.m. on Friday at milepost 241 on I-64 westbound, close to Colonial Parkway, according to Virginia State Police.

According to a Friday afternoon report from VSP, the tractor-trailer and the bus were both moving through the eastbound lanes of I-64. At milepost 241, the tractor-trailer and bus collided as the bus entered the tractor course. According to police, the tractor-trailer was thrown over the side of the highway and into the median, where it collided with a barrier.


Officials claim that at the time of the collision, 22 passengers on the commercial bus were not wearing seatbelts. Three people—two men and one woman—have been identified as deceased.
