Iowa OSHA investigating Adventureland Contractor’s Accident

Iowa OSHA investigating Adventureland Contractor’s Accident: A contractor perished in an accident at the Adventureland theme park in Altoona, and Iowa OSHA is now looking into the incident.

According to a representative for Zachary Alesky’s family, the 20-year-old was carrying a steel beam when he stumbled on some ice, and the shaft fell and crushed his chest.

Alesky, according to family members, was revived at the hospital but later passed away during surgery. Alesky works for the Illinois-based SkyHigh Coasters.

The business is constructing the Flying Viking ride for the theme park in Altoona. He was the owner’s son-in-law. Adventureland’s owner, Palace Entertainment, issued the following statement:

We express our sincere condolences to the man’s family, friends, and coworkers in light of the tragic tragedy involving a contractor working at Adventureland Resort.
