Johnny Depp And Jeff Beck Jelease New Single

On Thursday, Johnny Depp dropped a brand-new song as a sneak peek at the joint album he and Jeff Beck will release in the middle of July. The first single from the impending Beck-Depp album, which is described in a press release as primarily being cover songs, is titled “This Is a Song for Ms. Hedy Lamarr.” It’s one of the two songs on the album, “18,” that Depp wrote.

The song has been performed live by Depp and guitar great Beck for a few years; the two are now touring Europe through July 25. Fans were baffled by the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor’s Instagram post on Wednesday, which featured a picture of the late actor and inventor Hedy Lamarr with the comment “Soon…xxx.” Mystery cleared up. This song is dedicated to Hedy Lamarr, who was “erased by the world that made her a star,” and who was “strung on beauty, trapped by its web.” She is described as “a flawless cocoon twined in gold thread.”

He then posted a little video thanking his devoted fans.

“To all of my dearest, most devoted, and most steadfast supporters. Together, we have travelled widely and taken in everything. Together, we travelled the same path. Because you cared, we made the correct decision together, Depp stated in the caption. “And now, let’s all advance together. I have no other way to express my gratitude to you, my employers, except to just say thank you as you are always my employers. So, I’m grateful. Love and respect to you, JD.
