Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Second Wave Of DLC Tracks Announced
Nintendo made it clear earlier this year that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the Switch’s best-selling game, won’t be replaced anytime soon since it would continue to release DLC circuits in waves through the end of 2023. Since the first wave of tunes debuted earlier this year, we finally know when to expect the upcoming round. According to Nintendo, Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will be available the following week.

A new trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 2 was unveiled by Nintendo earlier today. It featured the extra circuits that would be included in that game. August 4, 2022 will see the release of the DLC. Wave 2 will include eight new tracks, all of which are updated versions of vintage Mario Kart tracks, just like the first wave. Here are all of the brand-new tracks that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will feature starting next week.
- New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour)
- Mario Circuit 3 (SNES)
- Kalimari Desert (N64)
- Waluigi Pinball (DS)
- Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour)
- Snow Land (GBA)
- Mushroom Gorge (Wii)
- Sky-High Sundae
In addition to the classic maps, Sky-High Sundae, a brand-new course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 2, allows players to race across mouthwatering desserts while high in the clouds. The Turnip Cup will consist of the first four songs, and the Propeller Cup will consist of the remaining four.
Players that paid $24.99 USD for the Booster Course Pass will be able to access the second round of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC circuits. Players who have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription can also access it without paying any additional fees. Stay tuned to Shacknews as we wait for information on the subsequent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC wave.
