TakeOff, a member of the Migos, was shot outside a downtown Houston bar early on Tuesday and died. As a result, a representative told the Associated Press. Before the fatal shooting, TakeOff and Quavo of the Atlanta-based rap group were reportedly at a private party at the 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley, according to the Houston Police Department.
The victim’s identity won’t be made public, according to Houston police investigators, until the victim’s relatives have been informed and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has confirmed the identity.
According to the authorities, the victim was a Black male in his late 20s. On a balcony outside the bowling alley, located on the third floor of a building on San Jacinto Street and Dallas Street, this incident occurred at around 2:35 in the morning.
Police reported that the party had finished at 1 a.m., but it continued until 2 a.m. After the third-floor bar had closed, a group of roughly 40 people had gathered there. At that point, gunfire began. There were security guards nearby who heard the gunfire but were unable to identify the shooter.
People in the crowd fled the scene as soon as the gunshots began. According to the police, the victim had a head or neck wound. According to officials, two patients were driven to hospitals in private automobiles. Their identities have not been made public either. Investigators looking into homicides are present. Calling HPD’s Homicide Division is advised if you have any information on what transpired.
