More Charges Against Orange County Shooting Suspect

More Charges Against Orange County Shooting Suspect: In connection with the incident, the man accused of shooting indiscriminately and hurting two ladies at two resorts in Orlando earlier this month is now being charged with new crimes. When he was denied entry to the Westgate Lakes Resort on Turkey Lake Road on December 14, 19, according to investigators, Jailen Houston became irate.

According to deputies, he had only recently arrived in Orlando for his first few days of classes at Full Sail University. Deputies claim Houston spent the next three hours attempting to acquire ammunition for his firearm after the Westgate clerk told him he couldn’t check in because he wasn’t 21.

When he eventually located it, according to deputies, he returned to the hotel and opened fire on a crowd, hurting a 20-year-old woman. After shooting a 20-year-old security guard at the Marriott’s Cypress Harbour Resort, which is less than two miles away, according to deputies, Houston proceeded on.

On Integra Cove Boulevard, several apartments were shot into five minutes later, according to a report the sheriff’s office received. Deputies hurried to the Central Florida Parkway and Westwood Boulevard intersection four more minutes later. They allegedly found two cars and a school bus with children inside, where they said Houston had fired shots.

Eventually, according to deputies, Houston crossed the I-4 and overturned close to the boundary with Osceola County. Houston acknowledged the shootings when a deputy pulled over to assist him. While the other alleged events’ investigations were ongoing, Houston was initially only charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder.
