Currently, one person is verified dead, and another is reported trapped by crews. JFRD is warning drivers to expect delays since the off-ramp is closed. Around two in the morning on Sunday, a second collision happened on Buckman Bridge. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, one vehicle was driving southbound on Interstate 295 and the Buckman Bridge, and the other was moving southward in front of it.

The first automobile’s driver was ejected from his vehicle after it struck the rear of the second car for an unclear cause. A third vehicle was disabled after hitting debris. At the crash scene, the ejected driver’s death was confirmed. According to FHP, all the Buckman Bridge southbound lanes—aside from the left (inside) lane—will be shut down for a considerable time.
