Netflix Releases Trailer for Harry and Meghan Documentary

Even before it premieres, the upcoming Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan” is already proving to be an intensely emotional ride. Prince Harry hinted in a new video released on Monday that they’ll tell “the complete truth” on what caused the couple’s separation from the royal family. Prince Harry states this in the teaser, which gained roughly 200,000 views on YouTube within a few hours of its release and 1.7 million on Twitter. The whole truth is known to us.

The docuseries will be broadcast in six episodes over two “volumes,” the first of which will air this Thursday, December 8, and the remaining five on December 15. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are allowed to tell their side of the story regarding their relationship and eventual departure from the royal family in what Netflix refers to as “an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series.”

The documentary series will feature interviews with Harry and Meghan as well as historians, acquaintances, and family members, the majority of whom, according to Netflix, “have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed.”

Only a few days have passed since the debut of the series’ first trailer. The latest teaser shows the turbulence and alleged manipulation that went on behind the scenes, in contrast to the first video’s promise of an emotional look at the couple’s relationship and experiences.

“The family is organized in a hierarchy. You may know that there is leaking, but there is also story planting “As stated by Prince Harry in the trailer. It’s a dishonest game, Harry says, “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy,” as he shows images of his mother, Princess Diana, being pursued by the media.

Diana, Princess of Wales, who was being pursued by paparazzi, tragically perished in a vehicle accident in Paris in 1997. In the trailer, Harry confesses, “I was afraid.” I didn’t want the past to be repeated. The line from Meghan in the teaser, “I knew, ‘they’re never going to protect you,'” only served to emphasize that particular moment.

As pundits offer brief insight, more images of tabloids, paparazzi, and the couple experiencing distress continue to play on television. “One woman says, “There was a fight against Meghan to serve other people’s goals,” and a male responds, “It’s about hatred. It concerns race.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry, and Meghan, have been rather transparent about their issues with the palace. They ultimately decided to retire as the family’s senior members in 2020 and have fought to achieve financial independence. Now, they reside in California.

Harry admitted to James Corden, the host of “The Late Late Show,” last year that living in the UK as a member of the royal family was “poison.” The pair discussed how they were treated by members of the royal family as their relationship developed and when Meghan became pregnant with their first child, Archie, in an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey a few months later. Harry explained his choice to leave the royal family to Winfrey by saying, “We did what we had to do.”
