Northern State Parkway Accident Kills Three People Injured: A two-car collision on the Northern State Parkway in North Hempstead near Exit 32 resulted in three injuries, one of them critically, and forced the closure of eastbound lanes for some hours on Friday, according to State Police.
According to police, a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder struck Anthony Rosati, 64, of Nesconset, as he was driving an eastbound 2004 Mercedes-Benz on the parkway, causing the Mercedes to flip over.

Rosati was sent in critical condition to Nassau University Medical Center. According to authorities, the two Nissan passengers were taken to Nassau University Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds.
The parkway’s eastbound lanes were blocked after the accident, which was reported at 1:26 p.m. They had reopened by 5 o’clock, according to troopers.

As emergency personnel reacted, authorities directed all eastbound traffic off the highway near that exit. According to State Police, the crash is still being investigated, and they request that anyone with information contact them at 631-756-3300.
