Party Down Season 3

Party Down Season 3: Release Date , Cast, Plot, and Where to Watch It

Fans of “Party Down” can’t wait for the cater-waiters to come back in the upcoming revival, even though they aren’t having fun yet. In 2009 and 2010, Starz only showed the first two seasons of the show. It’s a lot of fun to watch these jerks work at the name of the show’s catering company while they try to make it big in Hollywood. The show is hilarious and has memorable characters and a surprising amount of heart. I’ve watched the first two seasons so many times that I’ve lost track.

Fans were upset that the show was canceled so quickly. For a while, there was talk of a “Party Down” movie, but it never happened. In the years since this cast has been very busy with other projects, so it’s pretty amazing that they can put on their pink bow ties again. The filming for the revival wrapped up in March, and now we finally know when the new episodes will come out.

Party Down Release Date and Where to Watch it

The bad news is that 2022 is coming to a close much too quickly. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long for “Party Down” to come back. Season 3 will only be shown on Starz, just like the first two. The first episode will come out on February 24 at midnight on the Starz app and all Starz streaming platforms. In the U.S. and Canada, the first episode will air on Starz at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

The show will be able to be streamed in the UK, Brazil, and Latin America through the Lionsgate+ platform. There will be six episodes in the third season. If you want to catch up before the show comes back, you can stream all the old episodes on Starz. So, if you haven’t seen this show or haven’t seen it in a long time, you should definitely check it out before the new season starts!

What is Party Down about?

In “Party Down,” the main characters are a group of cater-waiters who are taking care of more than just the party guests. They are also waiting for their chance to become famous in Hollywood. Since it’s a new season, it’s likely that they’re all still waiting.

The original series was made by Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Dan Etheridge, and Paul Rudd. It brought together a group of very funny and talented people. Ron Donald, who plays the captain in Ken Marino, is in charge of the crew. He does his best to run the team and stay sober. Henry Pollard (Adam Scott) is a low-level actor who is always recognized, but the catchphrase from his commercial has made it impossible for him to be known for anything else. There’s also Casey Klein, played by Lizzy Caplan, who wants to be a comedian and falls in love with Henry.

We can’t forget Kyle Bradway (Ryan Hansen), who Henry says is in “the overall handsome business,” or Roman DeBeers (Martin Starr), who writes “hard sci-fi” and is usually unpleasant. Constance Carmell, played by Jane Lynch, is the last member of the team. She is a former actress with behind-the-scenes stories that are better than any role she has ever played. Lynch leaving “Party Down” for “Glee” was a bummer, but first Jennifer Coolidge and then Megan Mullally took over, and each brought her own hilarious style to the show.

We won’t know what brings these characters back together until February, but I don’t think it’s a success. The official summary of the revival is as follows: “After ten years, most of the catering staff at Party Down had moved on, including actor and bartender Henry Pollard. After a surprise reunion, the group is once again forced to go to random parties and hang out with strange people all over Los Angeles.”

Party Down Cast and Crew

Most of the actors will be back in their original roles, but Lizzy Caplan will not be there, and she will be missed. Adam Scott will be back, fresh off the success of “Severance.” So will Ken Marino, who viewers will know from many shows, including “The Other Two,” which is often overlooked. Jane Lynch, who was just on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and Megan Mullally, who was on “Will & Grace,” will also be back. Martin Starr is also on board. No matter how many other roles he plays, he’ll always be Bill Haverchuck from “Freaks and Geeks” to me, just like Ryan Hansen will always be Dick Casablancas from “Veronica Mars,” even though he’s also coming back.

Jennifer Garner (“The Adam Project”), Tyrel Jackson Williams (“Brockmire”), and Zo Chao are among the new faces in the cast (“The Afterparty”). “Dead to Me” actor James Marsden will be a recurring guest star. Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Dan Etheridge (who all worked on “iZombie” with Thomas), Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”), and Adam Scott, all of whom worked on “Party Down,” are in charge of Season 3. (“Parks and Recreation”). Enbom is also in charge of the show. Lionsgate Television is in charge of making “Party Down” for Starz.

This isn’t the first time Thomas has tried to bring back a beloved show that ended way too soon. “Veronica Mars,” on which Etheridge also worked, came back not once but twice, first as a record-breaking Kickstarter film and then as a Hulu series. Not only did “Party Down” have two “Veronica Mars” stars (Marino and Hansen), but it also had a lot of guest stars who were big parts of the show.

Party Down teaser

Unfortunately, the teaser doesn’t tell us much about the new season of “Party Down,” but I can’t help but feel excited to see this cast back together again after all this time. Set to “Celebration” by Kool & the Gang, we see most of our original cast back in action, complete with pink bow ties. During this “celebration,” they look a little frazzled, which is pretty typical of this team. At the end of the teaser, Henry says, “Are we having fun yet?” This is his catchphrase. We hope to be there soon!
