Police Officer Finds Body In Finleyville, Washington County

According to the coroner for Washington County, a body was discovered in the street in Finleyville by a police officer who was on duty. A Monongahela police officer discovered the body early on Monday in the 3600 block of Washington Avenue.

According to the coroner, the person who was discovered deceased had a gunshot wound. The gunshot victim’s identity has not been made public.

The proprietor of a pub close to where the body was discovered told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that shortly after one in the morning, patrons in the bar overheard a loud ruckus in the tavern parking lot and a car driving off.

The body was discovered several blocks away in the business sector a few hours later. The bar owner claimed that after the body was located, the police informed him that shell casings had been discovered in the parking area.
