Port Orange Woman Dies in Crash on I-95 in Flagler County: According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman from Port Orange passed away in a collision on Wednesday morning that caused Interstate 95 to be closed in the Palm Coast region for almost five hours.
According to officers, the collision happened just north of the Old Kings Road North flyover in the northbound lanes of I-95 at around 8:30 a.m.

An FHP investigation states that the semi slowed down as it neared traffic as the 53-year-old woman was driving a sedan behind a semi pulling a trailer in the center lane. The vehicle crashed into the trailer after failing to slow down.

The sedan reportedly became stuck underneath the trailer as both vehicles traveled north until coming to a stop in the center lane, according to the police. According to the report, the semi’s driver, a 36-year-old Miami resident, was unharmed.
