Ron Desantis Re-elected Florida Governor

Ron Desantis Re-elected Florida Governor: Tuesday saw the inauguration of Ron DeSantis for a second term as governor of Florida, as he has emerged as the leading contender to challenge former President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican primary.

Republicans who talked with NBC News in November, immediately after DeSantis’ resounding victory, hinted that the governor would run for president in 2024. They said it was a matter of when not if.
