According to Florida 511, a semi-truck that toppled shut down all lanes on the Dames Point Bridge early on Thursday.
The event happened while the semi was crossing the top of the bridge just before 9:30 a.m. The vehicle was knocked over by a powerful wind gust, according to FHP.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department was able to extract the semi-truck driver without incident despite reports that he or she was stranded. The event did not result in any injuries to the driver.

So far this morning, we’ve seen several semis jackknife and/or flip.
If you can stay in today, I highly recommend it.
