Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer

In 2020, on February 14, production on Season 4 of Stranger Things began, and to celebrate, the first teaser for the upcoming season was published. Only David Harbour’s Hopper appears in this teaser, but it’s better than nothing. After that, on May 6th, 2021, another teaser was published, which once again brought us back to the Rainbow Room and intimated that Season 4 will focus on Eleven’s backstory. More fresh material and re-used material from prior seasons were shown in a second sneak peek for the upcoming season on August 6, 2021.

The creepy Creel House that the kids investigate was featured in a short documentary released on September 25, 2021. On November 6, 2021, the first full trailer will debut, with Eleven penning a letter to Mike about her new life in California and transitioning to adulthood, but also being happy to see him again for Spring Break. Subsequently, on April 12, 2022, a whole new trailer was unveiled.

Stranger Things Season 4 Plot

Most of Stranger Things 4’s plot is still a secret, but when filming for the new season started in February 2020, a short synopsis confirmed that David Harbour’s Hopper would come back and that the character wasn’t really dead after all. You may remember that Stranger Things 3 ended with Hopper giving his life in front of the huge wormhole that the Russians had opened under Hawkins, Indiana. But after the credits, we were taken to a Russian prison where guards were talking about “the American” in one of the cells.

In Season 4 of Stranger Things, Hopper is locked up in Kamchatka, Russia, where “he will face both human and other dangers.” In fact, in the scene after the credits of Stranger Things 3, we saw that the Russians also had their own Demogorgon.

In an interview with Collider, Harbour talked more about how Hopper’s time in the Russian prison changes him. He hinted at a “resurrection” and “resurgence” for the character, similar to what happened to Gandalf in Lord of the Rings.

The Duffer Brothers have also said that Season 4 will show more of the world outside of Hawkins, Indiana. The trailer shows that the Byers are living a normal life in California, which backs up what they said. That doesn’t mean that Season 4 will leave Hawkins behind, though. From the casting descriptions, we know that the Dungeons and Dragons club at Hawkins High, called the Hellfire Club, will be a big part of the new season.

We also know from the breakdown of the cast that at least some of the season will be about a mental hospital and Robert Englund’s character, Victor Creel. The second teaser trailer showed that there will be more flashbacks to Eleven’s childhood at Martin Brenner’s facility, including the Rainbow Room.

Shawn Levy said that Stranger Things 4’s story takes place in three different places: Hawkins, Russia, and a third place that hasn’t been revealed yet.
