Tessa Thompson Dating: Tessa Thompson is enjoying a shining time right now. The performer has been working in the industry for more than a decade, and she is now in her stride. The recipient of the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood honor recently appeared in Marvel’s box office smash, Thor: Ragnarok, as well as in HBO’s critically acclaimed drama Westworld, and she has recently finished filming Creed II.
Many people are interested in learning more about her connection with the artist Janelle Monáe as her career continues to gain steam. It has been speculated for quite some time that Thompson and Monáe are romantically involved. Now, according to a recent interview with the star of Creed, it appears as though the two share a unique connection.
“It’s tricky, because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space, and also wanting to use your platform and influence,” Thompson told Net-A-Porter
Noting that people have reached out to her to let her know how Janelle’s work has helped them come out to their family and friends. Thompson also mentioned that people have asked her how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space, and also wanting to use your platform
Although Thompson has not previously addressed the public about her sexuality (Monáe came out earlier this year as pansexual), the actor has stated that her family is highly accepting of her attraction to both men and women. Monáe came out as pansexual earlier this year.
“Because of my family, I have the luxury of taking things for granted; in this country, you have so much freedom that you can be anyone you want to be. Both men and women pique my interest in different ways. “It doesn’t really matter if I bring a man or a woman home with me,” she clarified. “We don’t even have to have the conversation.”
When asked about her romantic involvement with Monáe, Thompson did not explicitly state that the two were an item, but she did refer to the singer as “her person.”
“That was something that I was conscious of keeping in mind in relation to this declaration made around Janelle and myself. “I want everyone else to have that freedom and support that I have from my loved ones,” Thompson said.
“I have it and I want it for everyone else.” “But a great number of people don’t. Do I then have a responsibility to discuss that topic with you? Do I have an obligation to identify this individual as belonging to me when I am in a public setting?
The actor has stated that she is not bothered about what others think or guess about her relationship with the singer who performed on the song “Dirty Computer.” This is despite the fact that fans would absolutely adore evidence that Thompson and Monáe are dating.
“Our love for one another is profound,” Thompson acknowledged. We’re so close that our vibrations are in sync with one another. It’s fine with us if people want to make assumptions about who or what we are. It does not worry me in the least.
