Nearly two months after the “Everwood” star was muɼdeɼed in a motorcycle accdent in Vermont, the New York medical examiner’s office concluded that Treat Williams ded of “severe trauma and blood loss.”

The Vermont State Police announced in a news release that Ryan Koss of Dorset, Vermont, has been charged with “grossly negligent operation with deth” after he allegedly drove his automobile “into the path of… Williams’ motorcycle.”

Williams was pronounced decesed at the Albany Medical Center in New York after sustaining “critical ἰnjuries in the crash,” according to the news release. He was 71. Koss, 35, was arrested at the Shaftsbury Barracks police station. He was then processed for the offense and released.

The actor was riding his motorcycle when a car crossed in front of him, leading him to collide with the automobile, according to Barry McPherson, Williams’ longtime agent, who spoke to The Times in June. McPherson said at the time:

“They couldn’t save him, And it’s just such a terrible thing, an unnecessary thing.”

Williams, who was thrown from his motorbike in the incident, was driving in front of Koss as he reportedly attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. Koss got in an accident and had minor injuries; she wasn’t sent to the hospital right away.

On September 25, Koss will be arraigned in the crɼminal section of Vermont Superior Court in Bennington. Williams’ family had posted a picture from a ‘Celebration of Life’ celebration in his honor the day before. The actor from Hair posted the picture with the comment on Instagram.

“As time passes, the grief doesn’t get any easier, but life is fragile. We are trying to live every day like it’s our last, and appreciate the time on this beautiful planet that we are lucky to call home.”
