Two felony counts of workers’ compensation insurance fraud have been brought against Q’orianka Kilcher, who starred in four episodes of the popular Paramount series Yellowstone. Kilcher allegedly received over $90,000 in disability benefits after “misrepresenting injuries” to doctors, according to the California Department of Insurance’s investigation. According to the agency, Kilcher was working on Yellowstone when she allegedly informed a doctor she was too hurt to work.
Kilcher, who played attorney Angela Blue Thunder in Yellowstone’s third season, is believed to have claimed she hurt her neck and right shoulder while filming Dora and the Lost City of Gold in October 2018. The CDI asserts that despite seeing a doctor a few times throughout that year, she ceased her treatment and essentially abandoned the insurance provider that was handling her claim.

The actress allegedly contacted the insurance provider to request therapy one year later, in October 2019. She is said to have later disclosed to a doctor managing her insurance claim that she had been offered job ever since the accident but was unable to accept it because “her neck pain was too severe.” The agency asserts that this is when Kilcher began collecting temporary complete disability benefits.
But the suspected fraud was only discovered after the agency examined her employer’s wage data. According to the CDI’s inquiry, the actress actually contributed to Yellowstone from July to October of this year. According to the organisation, Kilcher had previously informed her doctor that she had been unable to work for a year. She allegedly collected disability payments five days after she last worked on the show, according to the agency.
According to the CDI, the doctor informed them that if they had known the actress actually worked, they would not have approved the disability benefits. Kilcher allegedly earned $96,838 in disability compensation. The actress, who co-starred with Colin Farrell as Pocahontas in the 2005 movie The New World, turned herself in to the police and was charged on May 27.
