On November 10, 1994, Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the sister of Madelyn Deutch and the daughter of Madelyn Deutch and actress Lea Thompson. From her father’s side, she is of Russian and Polish Jewish ancestry, and from her mother’s, of English, Scots-Irish, Swiss-German, and Irish ancestry. She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and the Oakwood School, where she double majored in theatre and visual arts.

Before making an appearance in eighteen episodes of “Ringer” as “Juliet Martin,” she made appearances in the episodes “One Last Score” of “NCIS” and “The Girl in the Blue Mask” of “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” between 2011 and 2013.

In 2013, she received her big break in the film industry when she was cast in the romantic fantasy film “Beautiful Creatures.” The first entry in the “Caster Chronicles” series, the movie was based on the original novel by authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl the same name. Alongside renowned actors like Thomas Mann, Emma Thompson, and Alden Ehrenreich, she had a big role in the film.

Following “Beautiful Creatures,” she was cast as “Rosemarie Hathaway” in the movie “Vampire Academy.” Her work received favorable reviews, and the movie was a tremendous commercial success. Following the success of “Vampire Academy,” Zoey co-starred with numerous well-known stars in several blockbuster movies. She starred opposite Robert De Niro and Zac Efron in the adult comedy “Dirty Grandpa” before sharing the screen with Megan Mullally, James Franco, and Bryan Cranston in “Why Him?”

As Samantha Kingston in “Before I Fall,” Oona O’Neil in “Rebel in the Rye,” Bobbi in “The Disaster Artist,” Erica Vandross in “Flower,” and Sabrina Klein in “The Year Of Spectacular Men,” she appeared in five movies in 2017.
