Poconos Boating Accident That Killed a Student From Central Bucks High School

On the fast track, Dominic Testani was slated to report for duty later this year. After what appeared to be an accident at 1 in the morning in the middle of a lake in the Poconos, more than 100 miles from home, the 18-year-old Bucks County man is now honored by his community.

The teenager from Doylestown Township, thought to have drowned on Lake Henry just east of Scranton, was due to have an autopsy by the Office of the Wayne County Coroner on Monday, 20 March. Testani played football for the school his freshman year and graduated early from Central Bucks High School West in January.

Later this year, Testani was supposed to enlist in the American Army. The reason the adolescent and his two companions were on a lake in the middle of the night is unknown to the police. Lake Henry, which is 105 miles north of Doylestown, is well-liked by campers and fishermen and is close to state game grounds for hunting.

Testani and two other young men launched a row boat from a house on the shoreline around one morning on Saturday. The three were thrown into the ocean as the boat capsized. According to Pennsylvania State Trooper J. Kistle, Testani was last seen at 1:30 in the morning.

With the help of friends and emergency personnel, the other two could escape safely, according to Kistle. Officials reported it took 8 hours, or about 9 a.m., to find Testani’s body.

Officers at the Doylestown U.S. Army Recruiting Center were shocked to learn of Testani’s passing; they only found out after receiving a phone call from a reporter on Monday morning. On December 8, Testani posed for pictures inside the recruiting office while clutching the American Army seal.
