Bray Wyatt, a WWE superstar better known as Windham Rotunda, passed suddenly at the age of 36. On August 24, 2023, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque made a social media announcement. He declared:
“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda also known as Bray Wyatt unexpectedly passed away.”

How Did Bray Wyatt Die?
Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda, had been missing from the WWE for a number of months due to an undiagnosed medical condition.
Wyatt’s passing came as a complete shock considering that earlier this month there had been reports that he was almost ready to fight again after beating a “life-threatening illness.”
What ailment Wyatt was suffering was not made known. In one of his farewell press conferences earlier this year, Rotunda expressed his gratitude for the millions of followers, regardless of whether they booed or cheered him.

He had been a part of WWE since 2009, with the exception of the little over a year between 2021 and 2022 when he was abruptly fired. With a tense storyline and mysterious vignettes, Rotunda made a triumphant return to WWE in September, which helped boost television ratings.
Rotunda was descended from wrestlers. In the WWE as Irwin R. Schyster and in other promotions as Michael Wallstreet or by using his real name, his father Mike rose to notoriety.
A professional wrestler who belonged to the renowned Four Horsemen stable and was one of the most well-known sportsmen of the 1980s and early 1990s, Barry Windham was Rotunda’s uncle. WWE wrestler Taylor, Rotunda’s brother, has previously used the ring name Bo Dallas.
