Dan Campbell was born in Clifton, Texas, on April 13, 1976. During his 1999 NFL Draft selection in the third round, Campbell saw just one target in 12 games with the Giants. With 43 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns, Campbell finished his career with the Giants after four seasons and sixty games (34 starts).

In 2009, following his release from the Lions, Campbell inked a deal with the Saints; however, he suffered an injury and never played.
