What ἰllness Does Danny Bonaduce Have?

Born on August 13, 1959, Dante Daniel Bonaduce is a well-known American personality who has worked in a variety of industries, including radio, acting, television, and professional wrestling. He is the prodigal son of renowned TV producer and writer Joseph Bonaduce.

As Danny Partridge, the humorous middle son and bassist of the Partridge Family, a singing family band fronted by Shirley Jones, he rose to stardom as a young actor in the 1970s. He has made appearances on a number of other TV shows and reality series in addition to his position on The Partridge Family, such as Breaking Bonaduce, which aired on VH1 in 2005.

He has presented radio programs in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, and he has been the morning discussion and music host at Seattle radio station KZOK-FM since November 14, 2011.

After undergoing brain surgery, Danny Bonaduce is thankful to be alive and provides his followers with a hilarious update on his condition. The “Partridge Family” star, 63, responded to a TMZ post about his recovery by tweeting, “I lived, bitch,” on Jun 7, 2023.

Amy Bonaduce, Bonaduce’s wife, announced on Twitter the day before that her husband was recovering from surgery on June 2 to followers. She tweeted:

“It’s been a long day but I just wanted to let you guys know that Danny’s surgery went according to plan and he’s doing well.” 

In April 2022, Danny revealed that he was unable to continue hosting “The Danny Bonaduce & Sarah Morning Show” due to an unidentified ailment. He shared that the llness was rapidly progressing as just two months later, he lost his ability to speak and walk.

When he started to lose his mobility, the television personality said on “Good Morning America” that his symptoms made him think of his father’s stroke. He stated:

“I’d seen my dad have a stroke, and it was the same thing, I was hoping for a diagnosis, but did not get one.”

Danny ultimately had his hydrocephalus dagnosed in March 2023 after seeing “100 doctors.” The condition is described by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) as:

“Caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain … putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues.”

Despite having a history of substance misuse, Danny is now sober and shared with TMZ his views about how he might have come to have this dsease. The man, 63, acknowledged:

“I’ve done so many stupid things, On a reality TV show, I took a guitar to the head and that hurt. That’s possibly the cause of all this.”

He added this theory as well:

“I got punched in the face by Jose Canseco, a 265-pound professional athlete. And by the way, I didn’t hit the floor, [I] made it on my feet the whole time,” 

Prior to Danny’s brain surgery, Amy and Danny made the decision to sell their $1.6 million Seattle house since it was no longer appropriate given Danny’s health. The newlyweds relocated to South Lake Union after their marriage in 2010.
