Michael Tylo Cause of Deἀth: How Did She Pass Away at 72?

The five years that Tylo spent playing Quinton Chamberlain in Guiding Light are what made him most famous. He also appeared briefly in All My Children, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. His final job in a soap opera was a quick cameo on The Bold And The Beautiful in 2000.

Along with appearing in numerous soap operas, Tylo appeared in two seasons of Zorro and the 2014 TV miniseries Nightwing. The actor was a film lecturer at the University of Nevada as well. Before marrying Hunter Tylo in 1987, Tylo initially married Deborah Eckles in 1978.

Before divorcing in 2005, the couple had three children: Michael, Izabella, and Katya. Christopher “Chris” Morehart, a stepson from Hunter’s first marriage, was another child he had. Katya had her right eye removed as a toddler because she had rare eye canceɼ.

Michael Tylo, who played Zorro’s annoying opponent in a 1990s Family Channel comedy and appeared on Guiding Light, The Young and the Restless, and several other soap operas, has pssed away.

He was 72. He died on 28 September 2021 in Henderson, Nevada, USA. Tylo lived in Henderson, Nevada, and dἰed “after a sickness,” his family announced on his official website.

Young and the Restless posted their condolences on Twitter:

“Our deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of Michael Tylo who graced #YR with his talents as Blade and Rick.”

Tylo has been a visiting professor of theater and cinema, an assistant dean for the college’s College of fine arts, and an acting instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, since 2003. He appeared alongside students at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre and in the UNLV and Roger Corman-produced film Stealing Las Vegas (2012).

Nancy Uscher, dean of the College of Fine Arts, said in a statement:

“Michael Tylo was a beautiful and caring human being — he was so special. He was an exemplary friend, colleague, teacher and artist. He had such a distinguished and rich career, but he was humble about his accomplishments.”

Detroit-born Tylo portrayed archaeologist Quint Chamberlain, who was married to Lisa Brown’s character Nola, on CBS’s Guiding Light from 1981 to 1985 and again from 1996 to 1997, and photographer Bladeson on CBS’s The Young and the Restless from 1992 to 1995.

On his list of soap opera roles, he had roles on NBC’s Another World as Lord Peter Belton, ABC’s All My Children as Matt Connolly, ABC’s General Hospital as Charlie Prince, and CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful as Sherman Gale.
