Dan Campbell Career

Dan Campbell was born in Clifton, Texas, on April 13, 1976. During his 1999 NFL Draft selection in the third round, Campbell saw just one target in 12 games with the Giants. With 43 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns, Campbell finished his career with the Giants after four seasons and sixty games (34 starts).

He proceeded to play and start all 16 games for Dallas in the 2003 season. He participated in just three games in 2004 but all sixteen in 2005. In 35 games (30 starts), Campbell had 25 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns.

Success allowed Campbell to secure his highest-paying contract with Detroit, where he set a career-high 308 yards in 2006. Sadly, injuries that hampered him for the next two seasons kept him from playing in only three games in 2007 and 2008.

In 2009, following his release from the Lions, Campbell inked a deal with the Saints; however, he suffered an injury and never played.
