Danny ultimately had his hydrocephalus dagnosed in March 2023 after seeing “100 doctors.” The condition is described by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) as:

“Caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain … putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues.”

Despite having a history of substance misuse, Danny is now sober and shared with TMZ his views about how he might have come to have this dsease. The man, 63, acknowledged:

“I’ve done so many stupid things, On a reality TV show, I took a guitar to the head and that hurt. That’s possibly the cause of all this.”

He added this theory as well:

“I got punched in the face by Jose Canseco, a 265-pound professional athlete. And by the way, I didn’t hit the floor, [I] made it on my feet the whole time,”

Prior to Danny’s brain surgery, Amy and Danny made the decision to sell their $1.6 million Seattle house since it was no longer appropriate given Danny’s health. The newlyweds relocated to South Lake Union after their marriage in 2010.
