On September 6, 2023, he gently passed away at home in his family’s presence. He was 52 years old. loving Shelley’s spouse, a loving and proud father to JD. beloved child of the late Mary Ann and David Shoniker, Dear brother of Justin (Jennifer), Kellie (Jeff), and Michelle (Bob), Harrison, Jack, Sam, Caroline, and Julianne will always have pleasant memories of Uncle John.

John’s countless close friends and coworkers will miss him dearly. His family was his main passion and pride. His greatest pride came from seeing his son JD develop into a fantastic young man and thrive in hockey. John was a real warrior who was larger than life and unique.
