On Friday, August 18, 2023, Jonathan W. Souter, 41, of Oregon, Ohio, who had formerly resided in Sandusky, Ohio, passed away quietly. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on December 22, 1981, and he graduated from Perkins High School in 2000.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Toledo with a business degree in which he chose to focus on marketing. He worked as a contractor in the construction sector, applying his knowledge and interpersonal abilities.
He took part in a variety of hobbies, but his favorite was playing golf with his family. Even though Jonathan was a devoted Perkins Pirates supporter, he found the greatest delight in spending time with his family, especially deepening his bond with his brother and spoiling his nephew and niece.
Both of his paternal grandparents, William and Jean Souter, and maternal grandparents, Ted and Diane Schwanger, passed away before he was born. His uncle Toby Schwanger passed away before him as well. See Jonathan Souter Obituary details below.

On Friday, August 18, 2023, Jonathan W. Souter, 41, of Oregon, Ohio, formerly of Sandusky, died away peacefully. He was born in Sandusky on December 22, 1981, and he graduated from Perkins High School in 2000.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business. As a contractor in construction, he made use of his education and communication abilities. He loved playing all sports, but his favorite was golfing with his family.

Although Jonathan was a devoted supporter of the Perkins Pirates, his genuine happiness came from spending time with his family, especially spending time with his brother and spoiling his niece and nephew.
His parents, Rick and Terry (Schwanger) Souter of Sandusky, his brother Andrew Souter of Sandusky, his nephew Mason and niece Ariel Souter, his fiancée Lex Bolanis, aunts Tricia (Barry) Embler and Tammy (Paul) Wilke, uncle Bill (Lisa) Souter, as well as a number of cousins, friends, and other family members, survive him.
His paternal grandparents, William and Jean Souter, his maternal grandparents, Ted and Diane Schwanger, and his uncle Toby Schwanger all predeceased him.
On Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., there will be memorial services for Jonathan at the Lost Sailor Inn (formerly First Congregational United Church of Christ), 431 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
Trevor Ryan, a pastor, will preside. The memorial service will be followed immediately by a celebration of Jonathan’s life at Vita, 256 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Everyone is now welcome to talk about their memories with his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ-Centerered Addition Group or Celebrate Recovery, both of which are located at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 334 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
