Michael William Hazelwood, a beloved father and husband who was 75 years old, pἀssed on to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 20, 2020. Michael Hazelwood was born on February 8, 1945, to Renne (Bill) and Violet (Sefton) Hazelwood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
David Eugene Hazelwood, Michael’s brother, and his parents predeceased him. On May 5, 1967, Michael wed Bonnie Curtis, the love of his life, and the two of them went on to have three children. Michael earned a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
In the Health and Beauty Care Department of Proctor & Gamble Company, he spent over 25 years as a product development specialist before retiring in 2000. In 1995, Michael welcomed Irina, a beautiful student from Kazakhstan, into his home as part of the AFS exchange student program. Michael was a rabid Star Trek collector and aficionado.
In addition to his siblings Maureen (John), Dixie (Mark), Becky (James), and many nieces and nephews that he adored, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie, son Christopher (Jennifer), daughters Kathryn (Russell), and Elizabeth (Todd), and grandchildren Taylor, Hannah, Brett, Irissa, Kirina, Preston, Nathan, and Wiley.
